Thermographic Roof Surveys/ Thermographic Flat Roof Surveys

Thermographic Surveys enable us to pin-point possible areas of wet, missing or defective insulation, as well as checking the integrity of the roof system as a whole.

Thermographic Infrared Surveys of flat roofing are based on two separate principles, the first of which is that any area of defective insulation (be it fibreboard, concrete screed or fibreglass etc.) will have a higher density when wet. This causes the absorption of a greater amount of solar energy than the dry areas, leading to increased heat retention and consequently a higher surface temperature during the evening when the ambient air temperature falls.

Uses : Water penetration, condensation, damaged insulation, structural damage.
